Alphabet Soup
I would say that Alphabet Soup is aimed at younger players, at least that's the lasting impression after playing this game for a while. The game has its foundation in the worm/nibbles genre. The add-on feature is that you are to create words of letters that are randomly placed and moving just as randomly. You don't need to be a great speller - it's just a matter of collecting the letters while keeping an eye on the growing tail. There are lots of good worm games nowadays, and in comparison Alphabet Soup falls slightly below average. The menu system is rather weak and non-intuitive although the 3-level skill setting is good. In despite of my comments above, avid worm players may happily spend hours playing this game in all its simplicity.

Deluxe Snake
Deluxe Snake is a cloned mix of Snake and Nibbles. It's much more fun that its original when there are so many new features and powerups like diet pills, mushrooms, candy and bombs. The goal of the game is very easy; You eat the numbered food boxes and other objects to collect points. If you crash into a wall or eat yourself then you loose the game. You can also buy extra lives with bags of gold. The game comes with 4 game modes which are all described in the readme.txt file. If you do wish to run this game in GDI mode (as opposed to DirectX), open a DOS window and type: C:\program~1\deluxe~1\dsnake.exe -gdriver gdi

Green Snake
Ah, this game is good! It's neither clobbered with unnecesary graphics nor too plainly designed. Green Snake comes in crisp graphics and with arcade-ish sound effects. In essence, you control a snake that grows as you collect golden dots. Your path is confined by the walls of a maze, which really makes the gameplay interesting and fun. Accessing the extra speed boost really pumps up the action. The levels (8 zones with 41 levels in total) provides hours of frency, fun and frustration.
PC REQUIREMENTS: DirectX7, hardware acceleration |

Heroes
Heroes is similar to Nibbles. However, you have the option of auto-pilot, so you probably will have less problems with crashing. The game has tons of power-ups and all levels can be played multiplayer or against the computer. There are 5 modes of play, including a game where you must run over lemmings, and a variation on the original nibbles. This Nibbles clone has platforms and ramps, making it have a 3d feel. It even has a level editor. Type heroes help to see the help file. The game is mainly being developed for UNIX and the Windows version is slightly behind.
This new version contains bug fixes and is compiled as a 32-bit program.
Note that the DOS version is an older version of Heroes.
Download for Win32 version links to download page. You need 2-4 of the Windows binaries (found at the bottom of the download page), depending on whether or not you want sound support. Downloading Instructions

Hungry Snake
Variation on the classic nibbles game. There are three game
modes; single player, two player, and two player versus the computer. In the two player mode, you attempt to trap the opponent's snake. This game has cool sounds, and the mode versus the computer should keep you busy even if there are no human opponents to play against.
